Internships
Greystone Golf & Country Club is a 36 hole private club, consisting of the Bob Cupp designed Founders Course and the Rees Jones designed Legacy Course. Together the two courses provide the members of Greystone one of the finest multiple course facilities in the southeast. Greystone, located in Birmingham, Alabama, lies at the base of Oak Mountain which presents an ever present back drop providing some of the most beautiful scenery in the area.
Position Information
This internship will be tailored to your individual needs with a goal of learning and understanding all facets of golf course and grounds maintenance; including but not limited to:
- Pesticide and fertilizer application and calibration
- Irrigation system troubleshooting and repair
- Course setup and general maintenance duties, etc.
- Managing small crews and projects
- Utilizing various cultural management practices
Student interns will participate in management meetings, where you will be encouraged to share your ideas and develop an understanding of day-to-day turf management and grounds operations. Greystone offers a great internship experience as well as an excellent opportunity for advancement.
